Mme Nathalie Andraos est diététiste/nutritionniste diplômée de l'Université McGill en 2008 avec une majeure en diététique et une mineure en psychologie. Passionnée de nutrition pédiatrique, elle a développé une expertise en nutrition entérale et parentérale néonatale grâce à ses 10 années d'expérience dans l'unité de soins intensifs néonatals de l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants. Elle collabore dans plusieurs équipes multidisciplinaires, supervise des étudiants en diététique de l'École de nutrition humaine de McGill et est responsable des activités d'enseignement en nutrition des étudiants en médecine, des résidents et des fellows de l'USIN. Elle cumule plus de 15 années d'expérience en nutrition clinique, notamment à la Clinique de suivi néonatal, aux Unités de médecine et de chirurgie et à la coordination professionnelle, par intérim, du Service de nutrition clinique de L'HME.

Ms. Nathalie Andraos is a registered dietitian/nutritionist who graduated from McGill University in 2008 with a Dietetics Major and a Psychology Minor. Passionate about paediatric nutrition, she has developed an expertise in neonatal enteral and parenteral nutrition with her 10 years of experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She collaborates in several multidisciplinary teams, supervises Dietetics students from the McGill School of Human Nutrition and is responsible for the nutrition teaching activities of medical students, residents and fellows in the NICU. She has worked a cumulative 15 years in clinical nutrition, including in the Neonatal Follow-up Clinic, Medical and Surgical Units and professional coordination, by interim, of the Clinical Nutrition Department at the MCH.

Dr Sam Daniel est professeur d'oto-rhino-laryngologie et de chirurgie pédiatrique à l'Université McGill et titulaire de la chaire Hugh Hallward en chirurgie pédiatrique. Il est directeur du service d'oto-rhino-laryngologie à l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants depuis 15 ans.  Le Dr Daniel est un chercheur clinicien qui dirige le Laboratoire des sciences en oto-rhino-laryngologie de McGill et a plus de 200 publications. Ses intérêts cliniques et de recherche portent sur les voies respiratoires, la dysphagie et les troubles salivaires. Il siège actuellement au conseil d'administration de l'American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO) et est vice-président de la Société canadienne d'oto-rhino-laryngologie. Le Dr Daniel a occupé plusieurs postes de direction, notamment : directeur du DPC de la Société canadienne d'oto-rhino-laryngologie et président du comité de programme de l'ASPO. Il est récipiendaire de nombreux prix, dont les prix du meilleur enseignant, de leadership et de l'innovation, ainsi que celui des 40 meilleurs au Canada de moins de 40 ans.

Dr Sam Daniel is a professor of Otolaryngology and Pediatric Surgery at McGill University, and the Hugh Hallward Chair in Pediatric Surgery.  He has been the director of Otolaryngology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital for the past 15 years. Dr Daniel is a clinician scientist who heads the McGill Otolaryngology Sciences Laboratory and has over 200 publications. His clinical and research interests are in airway, dysphagia, and salivary disorders. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO) and is the vice president of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology. Dr Daniel has held several leadership roles including: CPD director of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology, and Program Committee Chair Of ASPO. He is the recipient of numerous awards including Best Teacher’s awards, Leadership, and Innovation awards, as well as Canada's top 40 under 40.

Dre. Jessica Duby est néonatalogiste à l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants et professeure adjointe au Département de pédiatrie de l'Université McGill. Elle a obtenu son diplôme de médecine de l'Université de Toronto et détient une maîtrise en santé publique de l'Université de Waterloo. La Dre Duby a complété sa formation en pédiatrie au Weill Cornell Medical Centre à New York et sa formation en néonatologie à l'Université de Toronto. Avec la collaboration d'une équipe multidisciplinaire, elle a créé une ligne directrice pour le diagnostic et la prise en charge du reflux gastro-oesophagien néonatal qui est utilisée à l'unité de soins intensifs néonatals de l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants.

Dr. Jessica Duby is a neonatologist at Montreal Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGill University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Toronto, and she holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo. Dr. Duby completed her pediatric training at Weill Cornell Medical Center and her neonatology training at the University of Toronto. With the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team, she created a guideline for the diagnosis and management of neonatal gastroesophageal reflux disease that is used in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Dre. Laura N. Haiek est une médecin de famille montréalaise travaillant pour le Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec et professeure adjointe au Département de médecine familiale de l'Université McGill. Ses activités de santé publique et de recherche sont axées sur la mise en œuvre et l'évaluation de l'Initiative des hôpitaux amis des bébés et son expansion dans les centres de santé communautaires et les services de néonatalogie. Elle est également médecin à la clinique communautaire d'allaitement du GMF Reine Elizabeth.

Dr. Laura N. Haiek is a Montreal family physician working for Québec’s Ministry of Health and Social Services and as an assistant professor at the McGill University Department of Family Medicine. Her public health and research activities are focused on the implementation and the evaluation of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative and its expansions to community health centers and neonatal wards. She is also a physician at the community-based breastfeeding clinic of the GMF Queen Elizabeth.

Dre. Kimberley Kaspy est pneumologue pédiatrique au service de médecine respiratoire pédiatrique de L'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants. Elle a complété sa résidence en pédiatrie et son fellowship en médecine respiratoire à Montréal à l'Université McGill, après quoi elle a complété sa formation post-boursière au Cincinnati Children's Hospital en bronchoscopie pédiatrique et troubles aérodigestifs.

Dr. Kimberley Kaspy is a Pediatric Respirologist in the Division of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine at The Montreal Children’s Hospital. She completed her pediatric residency and respiratory medicine fellowship in Montreal at McGill University, following which she completed her post-fellowship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Pediatric Bronchoscopy and Aerodigestive Disorders.

Dr. Jean-Martin Laberge a obtenu son doctorat en médecine à l'Université Laval en 1977. Après sa formation en chirurgie générale à l'Université McGill, il s'est spécialisé en chirurgie pédiatrique à l'hôpital St-Justine de 1981 à 1983, puis a passé six mois en recherche en chirurgie fœtale avec le Dr Michael Harrison à San Fransisco. Il a ensuite poursuivi sa carrière à l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants, où il pratique activement la chirurgie pédiatrique générale avec un intérêt particulier pour le diagnostic et le traitement fœtal, l'enseignement et la recherche. De 1994 à 2008, il a été directeur du programme de formation en chirurgie pédiatrique à l'Université McGill et, de 1996 à 2008, directeur de la division de chirurgie pédiatrique à l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants. Il est Professeur titulaire de chirurgie à l'Université McGill depuis 2004 et directeur associé du Département de chirurgie pédiatrique de McGill de 2012 à 2021.

Dr Laberge est coauteur de plus de 180 articles scientifiques et 50 articles de synthèse et chapitres de livres, traitant entre autre du diagnostic et du traitement des malformations fœtales, avec un accent particulier sur les lésions pulmonaires congénitales et l'atrésie de l'œsophage. Outre son intérêt clinique pour le fœtus, il poursuit en laboratoire des recherches sur l'occlusion trachéale fœtale. Il est actuellement co-chercheur du Réseau canadien de chirurgie pédiatrique (CAPSNet), un projet de recherche clinique financé par les IRSC, qui étudie le gastroschisis et l’hernie diaphragmatique congénitale. Il est également co-chercheur principal du Registre canadien de l’atrésie des voies biliaires qui a été lancé en 2016. Enfin, le Dr Laberge a participé à plus de 25 missions chirurgicales à l'étranger, principalement en Afrique. Il a été co-récipiendaire du Prix d'humanisme du Collège des médecins du Québec en 2013. Il a également reçu le Prix d'excellence médicale de l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants en 2010, le Prix reconnaissance de l'HME en 2019 et le Prix du mentor de l'année du Collège royal des médecins et chirurgiens du Canada pour la région 4 (Québec) également en 2019.

Maintenant que le Dr Laberge allège sa pratique, il continue de pratiquer le ski alpin et le ski de fond, la voile et la planche à voile, la pêche à la mouche, la fabrication de sirop d'érable, de travailler  autour de son chalet vieux de 110 ans et d'une maison en rondins moderne, et de voyager avec ses 4 enfants et 9 petits-enfants.

Dr. Jean-Martin Laberge obtained his M.D. at Laval University in 1977.  After his training in General Surgery at McGill University, he specialized in Pediatric Surgery at St-Justine Hospital from 1981-1983 and then he spent six months in research on fetal surgery with Dr. Michael Harrison in San Francisco.  Afterwards, he pursued his career at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, where he is actively practicing general pediatric surgery with particular interest in fetal diagnosis and treatment, teaching and research. From 1994-2008 he was the Director of the Training Program in Pediatric Surgery at McGill University, and from 1996-2008, the Director of the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. He is Professor of Surgery at McGill University since 2004 and was Associate Chair of the McGill Department of Pediatric Surgery between 2012 and 2021.

Dr. Laberge is the co-author of more than 180 scientific articles and 50 review articles and book chapters, including among other topics to the diagnosis and treatment of fetal malformations, with a particular emphasis on congenital lung lesions and esophageal atresia.  Besides his clinical interest for the fetus, he pursued research in fetal tracheal occlusion in the laboratory. He is presently co-investigator in the Canadian Pediatric Surgery Network (CAPSNet), a clinical research project funded by the CIHR, which studies gastroschisis and congenital diaphragmatic hernia. He is also co-PI of the Canadian Biliary Atresia Registry which will was launched in 2016. Finally, Dr Laberge has in interest in global surgery and has participated in more than 25 surgical missions abroad, mostly in Africa. He was co-recipient of the “Prix d’humanisme” from the College of Physicians of Quebec in 2013. He also received the Medical Prize of Excellence from the Montreal Children’s Hospital in 2010, the MCH Recognition Award in 2019 and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada Mentor of the Year Award for Region 4 (Quebec) also in 2019.

Now that Dr Laberge is winding down his practice, he continues to enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, sailing and windsurfing, fly fishing, making maple syrup, working in and around his 110 year old cottage and a modern log house, and travelling with his 4 children and 9 grandchildren.

Dr. Josef Neu a fait sa formation en médecine à l'Université du Wisconsin, a été résident en pédiatrie à Johns Hopkins et fellow en néonatologie à l'Université de Stanford. Il s’est dirigé vers l'Université de Floride en tant que professeur agrégé en 1984 pour poursuivre ses recherches en gastro-entérologie du développement et en nutrition biochimique néonatale. En 1987, il a poursuivi une formation de recherche supplémentaire à l'Université de Berne (Suisse) sur les mécanismes de base affectant le traitement intracellulaire de la lactase dans l'épithélium intestinal. Il est internationalement reconnu pour ses recherches en gastro-entérologie du développement et en nutrition et a récemment concentré ses efforts de recherche sur le microbiome intestinal, le métabolome et l'immunologie des muqueuses. Il a été financé par le NIH RO-1 pour étudier le microbiome en développement chez les bébés à risque de développer une entérocolite nécrosante et plus récemment pour évaluer les effets des antibiotiques sur le microbiome en développement. En plus des études sur le développement de l'intestin, il s'intéresse particulièrement aux composants du lait maternel et à leur interaction avec l'hôte en développement, en particulier en ce qui concerne les prématurés très vulnérables.

Dr. Josef Neu did his medical school training at the University of Wisconsin, was a pediatric resident at Johns Hopkins and a postdoctoral neonatology fellow at Stanford University. He came to the University of Florida as an associate professor in 1984 to continue his research in developmental gastroenterology and neonatal biochemical nutrition. In 1987 he pursued additional research training at the University of Bern (Switzerland) on basic mechanisms affecting intracellular processing of lactase in the intestinal epithelium. He is internationally recognized for his research in developmental gastroenterology and nutrition and has most recently focused his research efforts on the intestinal microbiome, metabolome and mucosal immunology. He has been NIH RO-1 funded to study the developing microbiome in babies at risk for developing necrotizing enterocolitis and more recently to evaluate the effects of antibiotics on the developing microbiome. In addition to the studies in the developing intestine, he has a special interest in human milk components and their interaction with the developing host, especially as they pertain to highly vulnerable preterm infants.

Mme Caroline Porraccio est nutritionniste, titulaire d'un baccalauréat en sciences politiques de l'Université McGill (2001) et d'un baccalauréat en nutrition de l'Université de Montréal (2005). Sa formation a été complétée au CHU Ste-Justine et, depuis l'obtention de son diplôme, elle pratique à l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants à l'USIN et possède plus de 15 ans d'expérience en nutrition parentérale et entérale. Elle a été accréditée deux fois auprès de l'American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition en tant que clinicienne certifiée en soutien nutritionnel. En plus de son travail clinique, elle supervise des étudiants en nutrition et diététique de McGill et collabore avec ses collègues de l'USIN sur plusieurs projets multidisciplinaires. Elle a été membre du conseil d'administration de l'Ordre des Diététistes-Nutritionnistes du Québec. 

Ms. Caroline Porraccio is a registered nutritionist with a Bachelor’s degree in political science from McGill University (‘01) and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Université de Montréal (‘05).  Her training was completed at the CHU Ste-Justine and, since graduating, has worked at the Montreal Children’s Hospital in the NICU where she has accumulated more than 15 years experience in parenteral and enteral nutrition.  She has previously been accredited twice with the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician.  In addition to her clinical work, she supervises McGill Nutrition and Dietetics students and collaborates with her colleagues in the NICU on several multidisciplinary projects. She has previously been a member of the Board of Directors of the Ordre des Diététistes-Nutritionnistes du Québec. 

Dr. Scott Rickert est le chef de service d'oto-rhino-laryngologie pédiatrique et professeur agrégé en oto-rhino-laryngologie, pédiatrie et chirurgie plastique. Il est codirecteur du programme aérodigestif à l'hôpital pour enfants NYU Hassenfeld et est connu pour son approche globale des soins aux enfants complexes. Il est spécialisé dans les problèmes de voix aérodigestive, respiratoire, craniofaciale et pédiatrique. Il a présenté et publié de nombreux articles à l'échelle nationale et internationale.

Dr. Scott Rickert is the division chief of pediatric otolaryngology and an associate professor in otolaryngology, pediatrics, and plastic surgery. He is the co-director of the aerodigestive program at NYU Hassenfeld Children's Hospital, and is known for their comprehensive approach to the care of complex children. He specializes in aerodigestive, airway, craniofacial, and pediatric voice issues. He has presented and published nationally and internationally extensively.

Dre. Ana Sant’Anna est professeure agrégée de pédiatrie à l'Université McGill, dans le service de gastroentérologie et de nutrition pédiatrique de l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants depuis 2009. Son expertise principale se situe dans le domaine de la nutrition. Elle est directrice de l'équipe d'insuffisance intestinale et de nutrition avancée (INFANT) et est consultante pour de nombreuses cliniques multidisciplinaires, y compris les services de soins complexes, les cliniques de bronchodysplasie pulmonaire et de suivi néonatal, celle des troubles de l'alimentation, et est depuis plus récemment la directrice de la clinique clinique multidisciplinaire de l'atrésie oesophagienne.

Dr. Ana Sant’Anna is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at McGill University, in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition of the Montreal Children’s Hospital since 2009. Her main expertise is in the field of Nutrition. She is the Director of the Intestinal Failure and Advanced Nutrition Team (INFANT), and she is the consultant for many multidisciplinary clinics, including Complex Care Services, bronco dysplasia and Neonatal Follow-up, Feeding Disorders, and more recently the Director of the Esophageal Atresia Multidisciplinary Clinic.

Mme Megan Smith Morin est une ergothérapeute diplômée de l’Université d’Ottawa (2009). Elle travaille à l’Hôpital de Montréal pour enfant depuis 2010. Megan est passionnée par la population néonatale et travaille depuis plus de 10 ans aux soins intensifs néonatals et à la clinique de suivi néonatal. Elle a des profondes connaissances en évaluation et traitement des difficultés complexes de l’alimentation orale et de développement moteur. À travers les années, elle a supervisé plusieurs étudiants d’ergothérapie de l’Université McGill ainsi que participe à l’enseignement à l’Université McGill et des résidents de médecines. De plus, Megan a commencé à travailler aux soins intensifs néonatals de l’Hôpital Général Juif dans les dernières années et a collaboré avec Dr. Nouraeyan et Dr. Nhan pour mettre en place l’évaluation endoscopique de déglutition par fibre optique.

Ms. Megan Smith Morin is a registered Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2009. She has been working at the Montreal Children’s Hospital since 2010. Megan is passionate in working with the neonatal population and has been working over 10 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic. She has extensive experience in evaluation and treatment of complex oral feeding difficulties as well as motor development. Through the years, she has participated in the supervision of Occupational Therapy students from McGill University as well as teaching opportunities such as lectures at the McGill School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and residents and fellows at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. In recent years, she has started also working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the JGH. In collaboration with Dr. Nouraeyan and Dr. Nhan, Megan was able to implement the Flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallows at the Jewish General Hospital as the instrumental evaluation of swallow is essential to validate dysphagia in the neonatal population.

Ms. Emily Tran est diplômée de l'École d'ergothérapie de l'Université McGill (2006) et travaille au Département d'ergothérapie de l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants depuis 2009. Au cours de ces années, elle a développé une expertise en évaluation et traitement de la dysphagie ainsi qu'en évaluation développementale de la population pédiatrique. Elle collabore actuellement au sein d'une équipe multidisciplinaire de l'unité de soins intensifs néonatals. Elle a également travaillé à l'unité de médecine pédiatrique, l'unité de soins intensifs pédiatriques, l'unité de chirurgie et plusieurs consultations externes. De plus, elle participe aux activités d'enseignement, notamment en supervisant des étudiants de l'Université McGill, en donnant des webinaires aux professionnels de la santé et en offrant des séances d'information aux familles.

Ms. Emily Tran has graduated from the School of Occupational Therapy at McGill University in 2006. She has worked in the Occupational Therapy Department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital since 2009. Throughout these years, she has developed an expertise in dysphagia evaluation and treatment as well as the developmental assessment of the pediatric population. She currently collaborates in multidisciplinary teams in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has also worked in the Pediatric Medicine Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Unit, and multiple outpatient clinics. In addition, she takes part in the teaching activities, including supervising students from McGill University, giving webinars to health care professionals, and providing information sessions to families.
